A Trip to the Gohs Uncles' Home

Today, Mummy & Ah Ma brought me to the Gohs Uncles' house. Uncle Yap needs help in fixing his computer & hence Mummy went to help. While Mummy is working on the problem, I was having my beauty sleep as usual.

Mummy just told me that she has purchased a big toy for me from USA. It's a real big toy. Mummy said it's for baby 4 months & above. That means, I will be spending my time in this big toy of mine in another 3 months time.. Yeah!

A Lazy Saturday

Yesterday I went to my "Tai Ma" house. In the early afternoon, Daddy & Me went to Laa Laa Land while Mummy was busy washing my bed...

Poo Poo Queen

Mummy named me the "Poo Poo Queen". I poo so many times a day, Mummy & Ah Ma had to keep changing my diapers for me. Just this morning, I played a trick on Mummy. She was ready to bath me & started to undress me and clean my backside. After she's done, I pooed again. So, Mummy cleans me up again. Then when she carried me to the bathtub, I pooed again, she quickly bath me in the tub, & I POOED in the bathtub! Haha! When she's done bathing me, she laid me on the cot to dress me, & I POOED AGAIN! Mummy quickly clears the mess & put on diapers for me. Guess what?? I POOED as soon as she put on my diaper. Poor Mummy, need to get a new diaper to change again.

Ah Ma told Mummy I purposely played a trick on her cause Mummy kept telling Ah Ma that she is afraid of my poo poo, so I purposely pooed many times.. hee hee

Yesterday night while Mummy is preparing to bath me, I gave her that "不耐烦" look. Mummy is such a slow coach loh, she always take her time to slowly bath me & change me.. So, last night I gave her this face while I was waiting.

My First Month Celebration

I had a simple celebration at my Great-Grandma house @ Bukit Panjang. I couldn't tell you much about the party as I was sleeping throughout the whole day.. hee hee.. Mummy did not take any photos too, but she will get the photos from Auntie Lay Hoon as she took some with her camera.

The first time I go out together with Mummy & Daddy, I was such a sleepyhead that day.

Presents from Aunties & Uncles

Time to show off my presents.

I received 4 hampers from Mummy's colleagues & Daddy's friends, Mummy forgot to take pictures of those hampers. Uncle Sheng & Auntie Xin bought Mummy a Fridge-to-Go so that she can transport my milk milk & Auntie Shan has bought Mummy a sarong carrier so that Mummy can carry me comfortably while we are out. Daddy's friend, Uncle Kai bought me a flowery pink bouncer, I like to sleep in the bouncer and play with the beetle toys. Oh ya, the cute hairband on my head is from Mummy. My First Post!

Hello! My name is Xuan Xuan, today I will be posting my very first entry.

First let me share with you my mummy's pregnancy journey & labour story...

22 March 2007 - Daddy & Mummy ROMed.
23 September 2007 - Daddy & Mummy had their traditional wedding
25 September 2007 - Daddy & Mummy had their honeymoon @ Hong Kong
19 October 2007 - Mummy found out that she was pregnant, gosh.. it's a honeymoon baby.. the news came so unexpected to Daddy & Mummy..

Some happenings throughout Mummy's pregnancy...

5th week of pregnancy - Mummy had a severe stomach cramp, went to KKH 24 hrs emergency immediately. Luckily, it was just gastric problem

17th week of pregnancy - Mummy had stomach flu, vomited non-stop the whole day, went to see a doctor & took an injection to prevent dehydration

29th week of pregnancy - Mummy realized that walking has become very tedious, as she felt pain in every step that she took. Mummy bears with the pain, & stop going out that often

32nd week of pregnancy - Finally Mummy meets her Doctor-in-charge. She told Doctor about the pain that she felt for the past 3 weeks. True enough, Mummy is in constant pain because my head has yet to turn down, my legs were at the bottom of Mummy's stomach, causing Mummy pain when she walk. In addition, the Doctor said that Mummy has signs of pre-mature delivery & hence, Mummy was ordered complete bed rest!!

34th week of pregnancy - Mummy went for her review again, it's confirmed that my head is still not down. Mummy was granted 2 more weeks of bed rest

36th week of pregnancy - At the final review, the bad news came.. My head is still not down. Mummy will be scheduled for c-section surgery on 30 May 08. That means, I will be arriving this world 1 month earlier than the expected date

My arrival...

On 30 May 08, Mummy was admitted to KKH at 06:00 am and she waited anxiously for the surgery to start. At around 10:30 am, the nurse came to escort Mummy to the operating theatre. Mummy could vividly remember that she was wheeled from one room to another for anaesthesia & preparations for the surgery. In the operating theatre, Mummy was administered epidural so that she would felt numb from chest down. Daddy was called in to the OT when the Doctor is ready to deliver me.

Shortly after, Mummy could felt the Doctors kneading & pushing her tummy, she don't feel any pain though. Then she overhead the Doctor saying "baby refuse to come out". So they pushed harder.. Within seconds, I was out, letting out my loudest cry ever.. Mummy & Daddy was almost moved to tears when they saw my little face.

I was sent to ICU for observation immediately after birth as Doctor observed water retention in my lungs. Mummy was not able to see me as she has no strength to walk & she was suffering from the side effects of the epidural, she experienced giddiness & nauseousness the whole day. On the second day, Mummy mustered her courage & made her first step down the bed. All she could think of was to visit me in ICU. To Mummy’s relief, Doctor has confirmed that my condition is very stable & would be able to discharge together with Mummy.

Poor me, there were many tubings on me, I need to be tube feed as I had difficulties drinking milk on my own..
