Starting School
She attended school orientation
And she seemed so small
As I walked beside her
As she sat on the little chair in the class
I realized how soon
Those first few years can pass
Remembering how she first learned to walk
The words that we tried to figure out
When she began to talk
This little girl had absorbed so much
It seems as though she has grown
So much overnight
And I must share, my little girl
With friends and work and play;
You are not a baby anymore –
Cause you are starting school
